If you’ve ever run a website or want to run one, read this.
If you’re going to invest time or money into building a website and the many hours of upkeep it requires, you need to know some basic stuff. This is some basic stuff. I’ll be introducing more website-driven technobabble to help you succeed over the course of the next few months but this is a great first step. If you don’t have a backup of your stuff then you’re gonna be really disappointed one day when you, ahem, lose your sh*t.
